Ingo Maurer – everything but ordinary
Since the 1960s, the company founded by Ingo Maurer has been designing and producing unusual lamps and lighting systems. It is always original and imaginative – the designs are bursting with creativity and ingenuity.
Even one of the first designs was a great success: The Bulb, a lamp in the form of an oversized light bulb, was included in the Design Collection of the Museum of Modern Art in New York. In 1984, the designer achieved his final international breakthrough with the YaYaHo low-voltage lighting system. The impressive rope system was one of the first ever and served as a model for numerous imitators.
Since the 1990s, Ingo Maurer has devoted himself not only to the development of interior luminaires but also to the planning of lighting installations in public places. Among other things, he designed the lighting concept for the Munich Freiheit subway station. The range of the German quality company is broad and includes all types of lights. With all the unusual creations, the focus is on one thing above all: the effect on people.
Zettel'z – the name says it all
One of the most famous light objects of the lighting manufacturer is Zettel'z. The ceiling light consists of numerous printed and unprinted sheets of translucent Japanese paper. This gives you the opportunity to be creative yourself and make the light fixture truly unique with personal drawings or sayings.
The leaves can be pinned to the thin stainless steel rods at will, so you can influence the incidence of light. Depending on the version, the lamp is equipped with one or two bulbs, special editions with Buddha motif or Bruno Manari alphabet are also available.
Lucellino – the light bulb with wings
Since the first design in 1992, the Lucellino family of lamps has constantly evolved. The basic idea has remained the same: A light bulb is adorned at the base with two handmade wings made of goose feathers. This gives the lamp a light and graceful design and gives the impression that it would fly away at any moment.
Lucellino by Ingo Maurer is available as a table lamp and a wall lamp. You can also use the latter as a ceiling lamp.
