The Anglepoise Type 75 Paul Smith Edition desk lamp is the result of a successful collaboration that commenced with the Edition One in 2014 and was later complemented by two more editions. The British fashion designer Paul Smith, who is world-famous for his colourful designs, has reinterpreted the Anglepoise Type 75, which itself is a reinterpretation of the legendary Anglepoise 1227 by George Carwardine from 1935, yet again and lends it another exciting new facet. For the first edition, Paul Smith used summer colours such as green, light blue and pink. Variant two, on the other hand, picks up autumnal colours such as orange and dark blue. The works of the Dutch art group De Stijl served as inspiration for the Type 75 Paul Smith Edition Three. The group advocated the reduction of colours to the three primary colours and the so-called non-spectral colours. The lampshade and the lamp arms are manufactured from high-quality aluminium, the base is made of quality cast iron signed by Paul Smith.

Type 75 Paul Smith Edition desk lamp – flexible lamp arm and lamp head

The Paul Smith Edition of the Type 75 desk lamp boasts the same level of flexibility as all Anglepoise lights do. The articulated lamp arm may be oriented as desired and the lamp head may be rotated thanks to a flexible joint. Thus, the Type 75 Paul Smith Edition always provides targeted zone light. Constant tension springs ensure that the table lamp remains securely in its position. The designer light by Anglepoise is supplied without lamps. The E27 socket can be equipped with a variety of illuminants. light11 recommends using an LED retrofit lamp for environmentally friendly lighting.
