Artemide Cadmo Parete LED

Did you ever try to wrap a coat around light? Karim Rashid had his very own answer to this question and created the Artemide Cadmo Parete LED, a particularly expressive wall light. This modern LED version follows the footsteps of the floor lamp, which was awarded coveted prizes such as the Good Design Award, the Red Dot Award and the iF Product Design Award. The Cadmo Parete LED wall light from Artemide impresses by its elegant look as well as an impressive representation of light. It presents itself as an eye-catcher with an impact that nobody can resist.

The history of origins of the Artemide Cadmo Parete LED involves an interesting incident. On a rainy day in Milan, the designer Karim Rashid caught sight of a person wearing a mackintosh. As he suffered from myopia he could only recognise a vague silhouette. In the following, the designer developed an idea that finally was implemented and resulted in this impressive lighting object. The luminaire body is available in a single-coloured (white) or a two-coloured lacquered steel (black/white) version.

In addition to the Artemide Cadmo Parete LED wall light, Karim Rashid, a designer with Egyptian and English roots, already created many award-winning pieces. Some of his pieces may even be admired in the New York Museum of Modern Art.
