"This light looks like a digital leaf from another world , embedded with scales like a reptile", says star designer Ross Lovegrove who is the creator of the Artemide Cosmic Leaf Terra floor lamp. Its natural, archaic design language represents another leitmotif of the Cosmic Leaf Terra – the "return of the light to its origin". It reminds us of a leaping flame that leaves the viewer simply speechless. The extraordinary design of this Artemide-lighting object is based on a dynamic layout of lines: the archetypical shape of the flame forms a harmonious unit with the properties of the innovative material. For this, the Artemide Cosmic Leaf Terra was awarded the coveted Good Design Award in Chicago in 2010. The fluted body of the Cosmic Leaf Terra is made of methacrylate.

Ross Lovegrove created the Cosmic Leaf Terra Halo Floor uplighters in 2009 for the manufacturer Artemide.
