Design

"Décomposer" is the French pendant to the English word "decompose". And indeed, the tube-shaped Artemide Decomposé Tavolo seems to decompose towards the top. This unusual design unfolds a fascinating dynamic presence, which you can barely take your eyes off. In our shop, you may also find the Decomposé as a ceiling light, pendant light and floor lamp. The design was developed in the Swiss Atelier OÏ.

Designer

The design of the Decomposé Tavolo was penned by Atelier OI who created this luminaire in 2015 for the manufacturer Artemide.

Decomposé Tavolo – playful light and shadow effects

Atelier OÏ describes the lighting effect of the Artemide Decomposé as ‘light rays [coming] to life in a scenic dance.’ The light emitted upwards by the illuminant on the bottom of the lamp body is reflected in a fascinating way by the differently arranged ring-shaped elements. The result is a pulsating interplay of light and shadow that captures the viewer. At the same time, the Decomposé Tavolo puts itself into the limelight, as it glows in its own light. An E27 lamp socket allows a broad variety of suitable illuminants. light11 recommends equipping the Decomposé with a retrofit or filament LED lamp, as they stand out for a high energy efficiency and long service life.

Decomposé Tavolo bedside table lamps for mesmerising mood light

The Artemide Decomposé Tavolo is always an enrichment when atmospheric lighting is desired. The table lamp requires only little space, for instance, on a sideboard or a chest of drawers in the living room. There, it supplies delightful mood light that lends the room a relaxing ambience.
