With its noble design the Artemide Demetra Lettura floor lamp follows the path of the legendary Tolomeo desk lamp by Michele De Lucchi. This piece by Naoto Fukasawa fascinates with an impressively delicate design and aesthetic proportions. A particularly striking feature is the flat light head that is only 1.5 cm high. This high level of design competence was awarded, for instance, the Design Plus Award and the Red Dot Award. The Demetra Lettura is made from high-quality, lacquered aluminium.

Demetra Lettura – flexibility combined with energy efficiency

The Artemide Demetra Lettura is characterised by tremendous flexibility. This means that since spring 2014 this floor lamps has continued the story of one of the probably best-known and most popular lights. The adjustable arms and the also individually adjustable, characteristically flat light head direct the light emitted by this reading lamp from Artemide exactly to where it is required. A touch dimmer additionally allows the light intensity to be adjusted to suit one’s own requirements.

The target-oriented illumination of the Demetra Lettura floor lamp is based on modern, highly efficient LED technology: the so-called Power LED only consumes 9.5 watts and produces a luminous flux of about 400 lumens and thereby achieves the light output of a conventional 40 W incandescent light bulb. This means that the Artemide Demetra Lettura is good for the household budget as well as the climate. Moreover, this floor lamp offers warm-white light.
