Design

The La Petite Tavolo table lamp from Artemide skilfully plays with our expectations and therefore quickly takes over the lead in the interior design concept. By means of its shade that is attached to an inclined pole, the Artemide La Petite Tavolo table lamp breaks with our established visual conventions. The classic shade is almost invisibly connected to the pole so that the viewer almost gets the impression that it was floating in the air. Aficionados will instantly think of the IC Lights series by Michael Anastassiades which also plays with the impression that the diffuser was floating in the air. The Artemide La Petite Tavolo is available with a rather unobtrusive white or black surface finish and also with a peppy combination of red and white. The design was penned by Andrea Quaglio and Manuela Simonelli who are together running the Quaglio Simonelli design studio.

The Artemide La Petit Tavolo emits its pleasant zone lighting directly downwards. While doing so, a small portion of the light also escapes upwards through the satin-finished diffuser and thereby ensures an atmospheric illumination. light11 recommends equipping this table lamp from Artemide with an LED retrofit provided with an E14 base. This way, the La Petite turns out to be extraordinarily energy-saving which is beneficial in terms of environmental protection as well as with regard to the energy costs.
