Design

A cuboid with an oval recess forms the body of the petite Melete Parete from Artemide. Thanks to its small size and the simple design it smoothly fits into almost every environment. The wall light designed by the brothers Pio & Tito Toso in 2011 waives any unnecessary forms which gives the Artemide Melete Parete its special charm and the purist expressive force. The special thing about the Melete wall light is that the illuminant is concealed behind a rounded, almond-shaped recess.

The body of the Melete wall lamp from Artemide is made of high-quality die-cast aluminium; the white painted surface ensures optimal light reflections. In 2012, this designer light received the renowned Red Dot Design Award due to its stylish design.

Melete Parete – indirect ambient lighting

Since the Artemide Melete Parete hides its illuminant in a recess, it provides for perfectly glare-free ambient lighting. The light emitted by this wall lamp is reflected upwards and downwards by the opposite side. This way, the largest part of the light is directed upwards and then indirect, soft ambient lighting is emitted into the room. In addition to the pleasant basic lighting created by the Melete, the unobtrusive mood lighting directed downwards additionally contributes to creating a pleasant ambience. Moreover, this stylish light source can be retrofitted with a dimmer. Under the "Lamps" tab you will find a halogen lamp that provides for warm-white light and an excellent colour rendering.
