The reflectors above the small illuminant units look like large, polished pebble stones.

The polished stones, the sparkling, organic form, everything about the Artemide Skydro LED demonstrates quality design principles. The stone- or pebble-like elements arranged next to one another are attractive to look at, and also serve as a reflective surface for the light, which first shines upward toward the polished stones before being reflected outward to the rest of the room. Thus, the housing for the Artemide Skydro ceiling light, which also resembles floating drops of mercury, is both a visual highlight and a safeguard against glaring light.
