Design

The Artemide Teti with its seventies retro style design was created by the old master Vico Magistretti himself. He was well-known for his ingeniously simple designs that were often realised by using synthetic material. The Teti ceiling light is a prime example of his work. The deliberately reduced designer light consists of a funnel-shaped base and a “naked bulb”. With a height of only 7 cm and a diameter of 14 cm this minimalist light source only requires little space.

The conclusion of a customer review appropriately summarises the advantages of purchasing the Artemide Teti: “An inexpensive designer light that convinces with its simplicity and its price and therefore positively stands out from the crowd of ordinary lights.” These pretty ceiling lights are available in white, transparent, orange and anthracite grey. The luminaire body of the Artemide Teti is made of translucent polycarbonate, the white version is made of synthetic resin.

Teti – lighting effect based on the illuminant

The Artemide Teti is provided with an E27 socket which is suitable for a large number of illuminants. Depending on the lamp chosen, its appearance as well as its character change significantly since the illuminant is a material element of the visual overall look. For reducing glare, it is recommended to use an illuminant mirrored at the top. This way, a large amount of the light is directed to the ceiling or the wall and from there it is softly diffused into the room without producing any glare. When using halogen lamps or globe-type lamps the Teti ceiling light supplies diffuse light in all directions.

Teti: ceiling lights for hallways and stairs

Thanks to its plain, timeless trumpet shape, the Artemide Teti ceiling light is suitable for many areas of application. However, it turns out to be ideally suited for illuminating halls or stair cases as well as guest toilets. Furthermore, the Teti is also often used as a wall light.
