The Artemide Tizio 35 table lamp is the smaller version of the original Tizio lamp that was initially introduced by the German star designer Richard Sapper in 1972. The origins of the idea were very simple: Richard Sapper preferred working with the light directly illuminating his working surface and the rest of the room being hardly illuminated. This way it was easier for him to concentrate on his work. This is how the Tizio 35 was created – a table lamp that conveys the idea of weightless balance with a system consisting of a weight and a counterweight. The two light arms are supplied with power by means of low-voltage halogen technology and no cable interferes with the harmonious appearance of the elegant Tizio. The transformer responsible for converting the mains voltage is located in the base.

Tizio 35 – great flexibility

The Artemide Tizio 35 is a flexible table light as its arms can be easily aligned as required by means of a hand movement. This means that it covers a large operating radius despite its small size. The light head may also be brought in the desired position with effortless ease. Consequently, the Tizio 35 is able to always direct its light exactly to where it is desired. Furthermore, the use of push buttons for connecting the arms ensures a consistent flexibility. A 2-step switch allows the light intensity to be adjusted and therefore to individually adapt it to your personal requirements. A halogen lamp included in the scope of supply offers a light output of 600 lumens and provides for pleasant and warm-white light with a brilliant colour rendering of Ra=100. The use of low-voltage lamps achieves a luminous efficacy that is almost twice as high compared to high-voltage lamps.
