Delicate and yet stable – this is how this floor lamp equipped with an elegant lampshade made of parchment paper or satin is presented. Moreover, the Tolomeo Basculante Lettura reading light from Artemide with its streamlined arms adds a touch of Italian elegance to the room. The creation by the designer icon Michele De Lucchi made of high-quality aluminium won, for instance, the Compasso d'Oro awards. Thanks to the switch located on the light head, the Tolomeo Basculante Lettura can also be conveniently operated while you are seated.

The design of the Tolomeo Basculante Lettura was penned by Michele De Lucchi and Giancarlo Fassina who created the Reading lights in 2006 for the manufacturer Artemide.

Tolomeo Basculante Lettura – a lampshade that securely maintains its set position

The Artemide Basculante Lettura floor lamp provided with an elegant lampshade made of parchment paper or satin supplies a pleasant, focused reading light. Here, the cone-shaped lampshade remains in a vertical position independently of the alignment of the arms and it finds its original position each time after the light arms are adjusted. If you choose a Tolomeo Basculante Lettura with a satin lampshade, the shade will show an aluminium grey colour when the light is switched off. As soon as it is switched on, it looks almost white and therefore supplies a pleasant, bright light. If you opt for the parchment shade, the light emitted by this reading light will have a pleasantly warm, slightly ochre light. In any case the slightly transparent lampshade shimmers while the light is switched on and therefore ensures excellent lighting conditions for reading as well as an atmospheric ambience.
