Design

The more than two metres high Tolomeo Lampione Outdoor Terra from Artemide adds a touch of nostalgia. The large floor lamp for outdoor areas owes this to the design of its light head. It consists of a transparent diffuser whose shape reminds us of a charming street light from the past. A look on the inside shows a second diffuser that is made of opal glass and that houses the illuminant. Moreover, the Artemide Outdoor Tolomeo Lampione Outdoor Terra impresses by its filigree look, which already helped the Tolomeo Tavolo table lamp to popularise.

Michele De Lucchi and Giancarlo Fassina designed the Tolomeo Lampione Outdoor Terra for the manufacturer Artemide.

Tolomeo Lampione Outdoor Terra – flexible and energy-efficient LED lighting

The Artemide Tolomeo Lampione Outdoor Terra provides for a flexible illumination. By means of three joints, it can be adapted to suit the personal requirements of the user. Its light is supplied by modern LED lamps that only require little energy (20 watts) to produce a lot of light (about 1,900 lumens). Thanks to a diffuser located on the inside, the light is pleasantly glare-free and softly diffused in all directions. Owing to protection type IP65, the Tolomeo Lampione Outdoor floor lamp is dust-proof and protected from the ingress of water jets.
