Design

The perfect elegance of the Tolomeo Tavolo table lamp that started its worldwide triumphal march in 1987 is also the distinguishing feature of the Artemide Tolomeo Mega Parete. This wall light is characterised by its streamlined, moveable arms which are provided with high-quality, discreet surface finishes. The unique feature of the Tolomeo Mega Parete is its exclusive shade – here you can choose between the parchment and the silk satin version.

The flat base made of polished aluminium stylishly rounds off the elegant design of this wall lamp that won e.g. the Red Dot Award. The Artemide Tolomeo Mega is a piece by the designer icon Michele De Lucchi from 2003 and it is available in three different shade sizes with a diameter of 32, 36 and 42 cm.

The design of the Tolomeo Mega Parete was penned by Michele De Lucchi and Giancarlo Fassina who created the Reading lights in 2003 for the manufacturer Artemide.

The functionality of the Artemide Tolomeo Mega also contributed to achieving such a great success. Thanks to the sophisticated system, this wall lamp impresses by the flexibly adjustable arms that softly direct the light to where it is needed. A spring balancing system provides for the required stability. The pivotable shade of the Mega Parete made of parchment or satin not only guides the light in a particular direction but it also atmospherically shimmers while the light is switched on. A foot-operated dimmer is located on the supply line which allows for a convenient control of the light.
