Design

Thanks to the flexibly adjustable arm, the Artemide Tolomeo Mega LED Terra with touch dimmer can be aligned as required and therefore ensures a large radius of illumination. Its unobtrusive design allows the Tolomeo Mega LED Terra to seamlessly blend into existing room concepts without pushing itself too much to the fore. Just like all lights from Artemide, this floor lamp from the Italian light manufacturer also stands out for sophisticated technology and a high level of material as well as workmanship quality. The refined wire rope hoist system that was already used for the well-known Tolomeo Tavolo table lamp ensures the high level of stability offered by this floor lamp. The solid luminaire body as well as the base of the Artemide Tolomeo Mega LED Terra are made of aluminium. For the lampshade you can optionally choose between satin and a nostalgic parchment look. Moreover, the lampshade is available in three different sizes.

Designer

The Tolomeo Mega LED Terra Black with cord dimmer light was designed by Giancarlo Fassina and Michele De Lucchi in 2014 for Artemide.

Tolomeo Mega LED Terra floor lamps: two-sided light emission for zone lighting and ambient lighting

The classically designed lampshade allows for a two-sided emission of light, i.e. the light is directed upwards as well as downwards. At the same time, the light is diffused through the lampshade and thereby lets it shimmer softly. The Artemide Tolomeo Mega LED Terra with touch dimmer makes use of a powerful LED module that facilitates a light intensity of 1,500 lumens and only requires a power input of 31 watts for this purpose. This corresponds to approximately the light output achieved by a conventional 100 W incandescent lamp. With a colour temperature of 3,000 Kelvin, the Tolomeo Mega LED Terra by Artemide supplies pleasantly warm-white light. The LED is already installed by Artemide and is therefore included in the scope of supply of this floor lamp.

Floor lamps with an extensive reach for needs-oriented illumination

Thanks to its light emitted upwards and downwards as well as the wide-reaching arm, the Artemide Tolomeo Mega LED Terra can be used as a pendant light to supply zone lighting for the dining table. This floor lamp also cuts a great figure when it provides for zone lighting above the kitchen table or when it serves as reading light next to your couch at home. The practical touch dimmer on the light head allows the brightness to be continuously adjusted to suit one’s own requirements.
