The small Artemide Tolomeo Micro Pinza clip-on light stands out for an extraordinarily attractive design. The list of prizes won by the Tolomeo family is impressively long, for instance, it received the renowned Red Dot Award. The exquisite look is underlined by the many modern colours since the Artemide Tolomeo Micro is available in different colour versions: from aluminium to blue and red to bronze and orange – there is something to suit every taste. The Tolomeo Pinza from Artemide owes its name to the Greek mathematician and astronomer Ptolemy. Just like the sun revolves around the earth according to the Ptolemaic conception of the world, the Tolomeo Micro is supposed to rotate around its base, here around the clamp.

The Tolomeo Micro Pinza Clip-on lights was designed by Michele De Lucchi and Giancarlo Fassina in 2000 for Artemide.

Tolomeo Micro Pinza – plug and shine

Today here, tomorrow there – this high-quality design classic supplies bright, focused light wherever it is required. And all this can be realised practically without any installation being needed: simply plug it in and ready you are. Then, the Artemide Micro Pinza ensures an exemplarily flexible illumination with its light head that can be rotated in all directions. light11 recommends equipping the Micro Pinza with a halogen lamp. These lamps stand for a brilliant colour rendering and thereby make sure that the objects illuminated look natural. However, the E14 socket offers you many options when choosing the illuminant. In our online shop, you will also find a version of the Artemide Micro Pinza that is fitted with a dimmable LED.

The Artemide Tolomeo Micro Pinza impresses with variable application possibilities. Thanks to the clamp fastening, the light can be used in many places – the only thing you require is a suitable fastening option. Here, you have to make sure that the maximum thickness of the object used for clipping on this light must not exceed 4.5 cm. Since this condition may be fulfilled in most cases, the Tolomeo Micro Pinza clip-on light is a very versatile solution. For this reason, this Artemide light not only cuts a fine figure on a book shelf but also, for instance, as a flexible light source for the bed. It can generally be said that there are practically no limits for the Micro Pinza.
