With the Outdoor series, Artemide makes the world-famous Tolomeo fit for the outdoor area. The more than 2 m tall floor lamp Artemide Outdoor Tolomeo Paralume Outdoor Terra is equipped with a diffuser made opal glass to protect the illuminant from weather effects. The diffuser is surrounded by a detachable lamp shade made of plastic fibre which gives the imposing designer light a touch of nostalgia. Naturally, the Tolomeo Paralume Outdoor has maintained the filigree appearance which originally made the Tolomeo Tavolo so famous all around the world.

The Tolomeo Paralume Outdoor Terra light is a piece by Michele De Lucchi and Giancarlo Fassina, created for the manufacturer Artemide.

Tolomeo Paralume Outdoor Terra – flexible and energy-efficient LED lighting

Just like the small Tolomeo table lamp, the Tolomeo Paralume Outdoor Terra impresses with an exemplary flexibility. The arms can be moved as desired, so that the angle of the downwards-directed light can be individually adjusted. Speaking of light: the outdoor version of the Tolomeo Paralume Terra is equipped with a modern LED module which requires only 20 watts to generate a luminous flux of remarkable 1,865 lumens. In this way, the exterior light by Artemide saves precious energy without cutting back on the light output. If you prefer a diffuse lighting effect, you can remove the lamp shade, so that the interior diffuser of the Tolomeo Paralume gently distributes the light in all directions. For a safe outdoor operation, the diffuser is manufactured according to IP65, which means that it is dust tight and takes no harm from jets of water. The washable shade has a protection degree of IP44.

The Artemide Outdoor Tolomeo Paralume Outdoor Terra is specially designed to be operated outdoors. For instance on a terrace, the floor lamp supplies enough light so that you and your friends can enjoy an evening outside even after the sun has set. In doing so, the Tolomeo Paralume Outdoor Terra can either emit atmospheric mood light (with lamp shade) or intensive light in all directions (without lamp shade), depending on your preferences. In addition to its variable lighting effect, the Artemide Outdoor Tolomeo Paralume also contributes to the decoration of the surrounding area.
