Numerous design prizes such as the renowned international award Designpreis Baden-Württemberg [Design Award of the German Federal State of Baden-Württemberg] and the iF Product Design Award speak for themselves: the Artemide Tolomeo Sospensione Decentrata created by star designer Michele De Lucchi in 2003 is an excellent choice when it comes to purchasing an elegant pendant light. It impresses by its filigree arms, the classic lampshade and the exquisite workmanship of high-quality materials.

The Tolomeo Sospensione Decentrata is a pendant lamp with a lampshade that is available in two types of material. The shade made of satin impresses by a discreet grey colour while the parchment shade rather stands for gentle light in beige or in a natural colour. Furthermore, the lampshade is available in four sizes (with a diameter of 24, 32, 36 and 42 cm).

The Tolomeo Sospensione Decentrata Dining table lamps was designed by Michele De Lucchi and Giancarlo Fassina in 2003 for Artemide.

Tolomeo Sospensione Decentrata – independence as the distinguishing feature

The Artemide Tolomeo Sospensione Decentrata pendant light, nicknamed “problem solver”, e.g. always provides for assistance where the object to be illuminated cannot be placed directly below the ceiling outlet. The award-winning pendant light definitely lives up to its name (“decentrata” means “decentralised”) as its flexible arm can be swivelled out in a radius of up to 150 cm so that an extraordinarily wide reach is achieved. An additional noteworthy feature is that the arm of the Artemide Tolomeo Sospensione remains in its stable position once it is set, thanks to an innovative, refined spring balancing system. Last but not least, the lampshade can be tilted and therefore offers a further degree of independence.
