The Artemide Unterlinden Sospensione LED pendant light impresses by its classic design that creates a nostalgic flair. Thus, it can be recommended particularly for those who favour traditional design over technical or futuristic design. The Artemide Unterlinden, winner of the Design Plus award, was designed by Jacques Herzog and Pierre de Meuron. The two architects created this pendant lamp as part of the extension of the Musée Unterlinden in Colmar (France). The ceiling rose is made of modern technopolymer, while the ceiling mounting plates are made of high-quality steel.

Unterlinden Sospensione LED – energy-efficient lighting thanks to LED operation

Unterlinden Sospensione LED from Artemide is equipped with modern LED lamps. These only consume seven watts to produce a luminous flux of 615 lumens. This almost corresponds to the brightness achieved by a 60 W incandescent lamp. The Chip-on-Board (COB) technology renders a separate chip housing for heat dissipation superfluous since the LED chips are directly attached to an extremely flat (and therefore space-saving), thermoconductive aluminium board. Furthermore, a specifically developed lens made of polymer ensures particularly efficient optics so that the warm-white LED light is effectively directed downwards.
