Extraordinary design meets unique lighting effects: Belux One by One
Self-conscious elegance, sophisticated composition and the use of high value materials make up the hand-made Belux One by One collection – this successful combination has ensured the luminaire family, consisting of floor, pendant and
table lamps, a permanent place among the most popular designer lamps and the accolade of the renowned red dot design award.
The One by One floor lamp by
Belux is a shimmering column which gives off smoothly dispersed, atmospheric light in all directions. The elegantly designed
Belux One by One takes a new look at classic lamps using innovative non-woven polyester to breathe new life into lighting. Moreover, one does no longer have to worry about the paper ripping or getting dirty: the single polyester leaves are easy to clean and are remarkable for their long life cycle and easy handling. So the Belux floor lamps are predestined for being used as charming mood lighting in living and dining rooms as well as bedrooms where they create different lighting scenarios by means of an integrated touch dimmer which helps you regulate the brightness and set the tone for the room.
Gentle, harmonious illumination, which leads to agreeable and friendly atmosphere, is the also the strength of the
Belux One by One 30 pendant light. This work with a noble look has been conceived by Swiss designer Steve Lechot, too. Relaxation and recreation are guaranteed when the One by One pendant hangs over the dining table and so provides a cosy atmosphere in the kitchen. But its smooth lighting characteristics and the lovely interplay between material and light do not fail to have the desired effect in a modern living room as well. The Belux One by One is available in to different versions: one with a conventional wall switch or one with an integrated touch dimmer. For longer tables, light11.de recommends the
Belux One by One 32.
As mood lighting, the
Belux One by One table lamps unfolds its enchanting illumination in the sitting and dining room, but also in the bedroom. There it takes a seat on tables or sideboards, window benches or bookcases, accentuating certain areas of attention of interior design. Thanks to its compact measurements, a One by One can be positioned almost everywhere. So it can also be used, for instance, as a ground light to create a comfortable zone of soft lighting.
Lights of the
One by One collection are operated with fluorescent lamps (also called energy saving or compact lamps). These stand for – thanks to power efficiency, high light yield and colour fastness – warm-white, intense illumination with minimum power consumption.
Additional information on the designer: Design artist and sculptor Steve Lechot comes from the Swiss Jura. His objects are heavily influenced by Japanese culture. He works with materials such as stone and parchment as well as light, demonstrated wonderfully by One by One concepts. So Lechot created a
floor lamp out of 160 layers of crumpled paper, which make for a fascinating play of light and shadow. One by One owes its name to the equilateral geometry of the layered paper.
