Design

The Lederam F3 by Catellani & Smith skilfully combines gracefulness with a touch of extravagance. The floor lamp consists of a slender metal pole which flows into a square-shaped base which is made from metal, as well. On its top end, there are three artfully decorated reflector discs manufactured from aluminium which are attached by means of nickel-plated joints. The reflectors of the Catellani & Smith Lederam F3 are available in various elegant surface finishes, including gold leaf and copper leaf. The economical LED modules are unobtrusively embedded in the back of the reflectors.

Lederam F3 – adjustable energy-efficient light

The discreetly extravagant Catellani & Smith Lederam F3 is a highly agile light source. Each of the three reflector discs rotates 180° thanks to flexible joints, which allows for individual lighting in any situation. Thus, the light of the Lederam F3 may either be directed into the room or, for accentuation purposes, towards a selected object. Furthermore, you may orient its light towards a surface, such as a wall, in order to create indirect, thus particularly soft lighting. To this end, the reflectors can either all point in one mutual direction to create focused lighting, or each reflector can point in a different direction. The light intensity of the Catellani & Smith Lederam F3 can be adjusted by means of an integrated cord dimmer, such as to create subdued mood light. The luminaire is equipped with energy-efficient LEDs which consume only round 53 watts to produce a luminous flux of 4,770 lumens.

Floor lamps as wall washers

The Catellani & Smith Lederam F3 is primarily used as a wall washer. As such, it focuses its light towards a wall which then reflects the light gently into the room. The result is pleasant, completely glare-free room light. The floor lamp is used in a living room as well as in a bedroom. However, the Lederam F3 is also suitable for immersing parts of the interior, such as a cupboard, in accentuating light if its reflector discs are aligned accordingly.
