Design

The richly textured interior surface, available in gold or silver, is the characterising feature of the Stchu-Moon pendant light from Catellani & Smith which creates an almost magic lighting atmosphere. Since each piece is purely made by hand, every pendant light shows a unique pattern with a distinguishing feature. Moreover, the Catellani & Smith Stchu-Moon impresses by the contrast between the elaborated interior surface and the practically untextured outer surface that has a classic black colour. This version of the Catellani & Smith Stchu-Moon has a lampshade diameter of 60 cm. A version with a diameter of 40 cm is also offered in our online shop. The Stchu-Moon 02 ø60 cm Dining table lamps was designed by Enzo Catellani in 1997 for Catellani & Smith.

Stchu-Moon – sunny or lunar zone light

As soon as the Catellani & Smith Stchu-Moon pendant light is switched on it reveals its entire splendour. Then it creates an unparalleled lighting experience including sparkling reflections. The light of the Stchu-Moon is reflected downwards by the interior surface of the shade. The individual manual processing of the interior surface not only has an influence on the outer appearance of this pendant light but also on its lighting effect. The two versions of the interior surface also characterise the light: the golden version of the Catellani & Smith Stchu-Moon produces warm, sunny brilliance. The silver version, on the other hand, looks rather unobtrusively cool and creates a calm, clear atmosphere – just like the moonlight.
