Wilhelm Wagenfeld
There are some names that are inextricably linked with design classics. One of them is Wilhelm Wagenfeld. From the Bauhaus student, who later became one of the most famous pioneers of industrial design, comes the famous Wagenfeld lamp. The lamp is the epitome of modern industrial design with its glass base and mouth-blown opal glass shade.
Arne Jacobsen
Another Ausnametalent is Arne Jacobsen. The Dane is considered one of the most internationally renowned architects and designers of the 20th century. He has shaped modern functionalism with his numerous buildings and objects such as the famous Egg Chair. Among his most famous lamps is AJ, which he originally designed for the SAS Royal Hotel in Copenhagen. It is characterized by its asymmetrical shade, which you can flexibly align and thus direct the light as needed.
Ingo Maurer
Ingo Maurer is also often associated with design classics. Characteristic of his lights are unusual designs with a humorous and sometimes provocative touch. Among his most successful designs are Bulb – an oversized light bulb – and Zettel'z. The legendary ceiling lamp consists of many printed and unprinted sheets of translucent Japanese paper.
Verner Panton
Verner Panton also had a significant influence on design history. The architect and furniture designer shaped the 20th century with his forward-looking, sometimes revolutionary products. He is famous, among other things, for Panthella – a luminaire icon in organic, playful design. It emits its light downwards without glare and is a prime example of Panton's brilliant flair for atmospheric lighting.
