Which clamp lamps are suitable for bed?
If you want to use your clamp lamp at the bedside as a bedside lamp, pay attention to convenient operation. Models with a switch or dimmer at the head of the lamp are recommended. This way, you can conveniently switch the clamp lamp on and off or dim the light while lying or sitting down. If your lamp is to provide reading light at the bedside, pay attention to additional criteria.
Which clamp lamps are good for reading?
Basically, the same criteria apply to clamp lamps for reading as to all reading lamps. The lamp should provide sufficiently focused and well glare-free zone light, at least 400 lumens. Ideally, the lamp can be adjusted, for example by means of a flexible arm. In addition, you should mount the clamp lamp close enough to the reading place, in such a way that a direct view into the light source is not possible.
