DCWéditions Lampe Gras – Re-Edition with industrial charm
The Lampe Gras is a new edition of a classic by Bernard-Albin Gras. The Frenchman initially manufactured it in 1921 as a table lamp for use in industrial plants and offices. The design was considered revolutionary: the table lamp was the first articulated lamp and, thanks to a movable arm and adjustable lampshade, allowed the light to be directed easily and flexibly. Over the decades, it fell a little into oblivion. This changed with the founding of DCWéditions in 2008, when Philippe Cazer and Frédéric Winkler started their company's success with a re-edition of the striking steel lamp after discovering it at a Paris flea market. In the meantime, there are various types of lamps and versions of the Lampe Gras. What they all have in common is the reduced, no-frills design, the high flexibility of adjustment and the charming industrial look.
Incidentally, the lamp of Bernard-Albin Gras was already very popular among artists. Among others, the star architect Le Corbusier, the painter Henri Matisse and the designer Eileen Gray used the lamp at their workplace. Today, the DCWéditions Lampe Gras enjoys great popularity in both the professional and private sectors and has become a coveted collector's item.
Lampe Gras 304 – flexible wall lamp for reading and work
The Lampe Gras 304 scores thanks to alignable lampshade and rotatable and swiveling articulated arm with flexibly adjustable zone light. Thus, the wall lamp provides excellent reading light at the bed, armchair or sofa. Mounted above the desk, it provides targeted light when working. Wherever you mount the wall lamp: It exudes pure retro charm.
Lampe Gras 302 – flexible lighting solution for tables and counters
Like all the lights of the product family, the Lampe Gras 302 is characterized by its high flexibility. The ceiling lamps have one or two shades that can be aligned thanks to hinge joint. The cantilevered telescopic arm with a very high reach can be adjusted in height and thanks to the joint can be flexibly rotated and swiveled.
Due to its enormous mobility, the Lampe Gras 302 is a decentralized lighting solution, where you can align the shade centrally above the kitchen counter or dining table. Also in the study above the desk, the factory lamp will serve you as an attractive light source. A lamp that visually stands out from the family is the Glass Ball Pendant. Its diffuser is an opal glass ball that gently diffuses light in all directions. This predestines it as a style-conscious solution for atmospheric ambient lighting.
