Design

With its industrial appearance, the DCWéditions Lampe Gras No 302 ceiling light spreads a special retro charm. The ceiling light was conceived by Bernard-Albin Gras in 1921 and is characterised by its extraordinary flexibility and high-quality workmanship. At that time, Le Corbusier was so impressed by the ceiling light that he had one installed at his atelier. Today, the Lampe Gras No 302 is sold as a re-edition by the French light manufacturer DCWéditions. Moreover, it is available in many different colours. Please note that the "copper raw" version needs some time to develop the characteristic patina. At first, the surfaces are all new and shiny.

Lampe Gras No 302 ceiling lights: target-oriented zone lighting

The jointed arms of the DCWéditions Lampe Gras No 302 ceiling light are extraordinarily flexible: the arm connected to the canopy may be swivelled in an angle of 86° and you may extend it from 55 cm to 92 cm. In addition, you may rotate the designer light by 360°. Furthermore, the other two joints of the ceiling light by DCW offer a range of 250° and 210°. Thereby, the head of the luminaire may be adjusted as needed to get the most out of its pleasant zone light. Directed at a wall or a ceiling, the Lampe Gras No 302 creates indirect light, which contributes to the base lighting of the room. The ceiling light may be equipped with an 11 watts energy-saving lamp or a similar retrofit LED bulb. Both illuminants are known for their low energy consumption.
