DesignThe DCWéditions Mantis BS2 Mini LED is a 1951 creation designed by the British, German-born designer Bernard Schottlander as an homage to Alexander Calder. The latter was known for his elegant, often seemingly weightless works. The Mantis BS2 wall light as well, here as a small version, looks like the epitome of tender elegance with its organically curved lampshade. As the name already suggests, the designer light is reminiscent of a praying mantis. However, by looking at the DCWéditions Mantis, one might also be reminded of an animal with a quite similar name, a manta ray that silently and smoothly glides through the ocean.
