Design

The unusual shaped lampshade of the DCWéditions Mantis BS5 SW is the main feature that distinguishes the wall light from other designer lights. Its uniqueness is based on an asymmetrical design that seems almost organic and is reminiscent of a manta ray floating weightlessly through the ocean. Being made of steel, brass and aluminium, the extraordinary appearance of the Mantis BS5 SW is accompanied by a very high quality. The design was penned by Bernard Schottlander in 1951.

Mantis BS5 SW – flexible light direction

The DCWéditions Mantis BS5 SW is a highly flexible wall light. Its arm and head can be oriented in almost any direction. In this way, the wall light always directs its light precisely where you need it. Furthermore, the Mantis BS5 SW reflects the light gently downwards for a pleasantly glare-free lighting. The switch is located on the bottom of the wall mount. For operating the wall light, an illuminant with an E14 base is required. light11 recommends using an LED for an eco-friendly operation.
