At first, the Fabbian Lumi Mochi pendant light catches the viewer’s eye with its extraordinary design. This unique look is responsible for the name of this pendant lamp: Mochi describes the balls of rice which are a popular Japanese desert. The shade is actually not round but is rather a little flattened so that the Lumi Mochi from Fabbian has a slightly beehive-shape. The diffuser of this pendant light is made of hand-blown, satin-finished glass. The pendant light is a joint piece by Valerio Sommella and Alberto Saggia. It is available in four sizes: with a diameter of 20, 30, 38 or 45 cm.

The Lumi Mochi pendant light was designed by Valerio Sommella and Alberto Saggia in 2011 for Fabbian.

This way, a pleasant ambient lighting is created that invites you to sit back and relax. light11 recommends equipping the pendant light from Fabbian with halogen lamps due to their excellent colour rendering. Here, the size of the pendant light is the decisive factor when it comes to deciding which illuminant is the best suitable for the light. A 60 W G9 halogen lamp is ideally suited for the Lumi Mochi with a diameter of 20 cm. The versions with a diameter of 30 and 38 cm are ideally equipped with a 150 W halogen lamp with an E27 base. Finally, the largest version with a diameter of 45 cm should be equipped with a 205 W halogen lamp.
