Design

Usually the light’s cable is considered to be an annoying accessory part. By designing the Aim Sospensione LED for Flos, the French brothers Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec, however, particularly put this element in the foreground. Here, this pendant light reminds us of an exotic climbing plant that is hanging from the ceiling. This way, the Flos Aim Sospensione LED turns into a poetic eye-catcher that forms the centre of any interior design concept. The luminaire body consists of lathe-turned aluminium coated with liquid paint. The diffuser is made of polycarbonate and the internal reflector of ABS, a durable plastic material.

The Aim Sospensione LED was designed by Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec for Flos in 2013.

Aim Sospensione LED pendant lights: Energy efficiency combined with high quality

The height and the alignment of the Flos Aim Sospensione LED can be individually adjusted by sliding along the three-metre long travelling cable. Thus, the light can always be directed to where illumination is required. The Aim Sospensione LED is supplied including an extremely energy-efficient LED module. It only requires 20 watts to produce 1,250 lumens which equals the light output of a 100 W incandescent light bulb. Furthermore, the economical pendant light stands out for a pleasant warm-white light with a colour temperature of 2,700 Kelvin. This pendant light by the Italian light manufacturer Flos is available with a black, white and a brown surface finish.
