Flos Oblique – patented lens for an asymmetrical light output
With Oblique, Flos presents the modern way of desk and reading lighting: because the table and floor lamps illuminate the (work) surface oblique from above, without the need for an articulated arm or other adjustability. This is made possible by the patented asymmetrical optics, which provide a focused beam of light.
To ensure that you enjoy unprecedented visual comfort when working or reading, Flos Oblique has a UGR value of less than 10. This speaks for an exceptionally good glare control. By comparison, the maximum UGR value for office lighting is 19, which means that Flos Oblique far exceeds the minimum requirements. In addition, there is a very good color rendering, from which you benefit especially when drawing and painting.
As innovative and technical as Flos Oblique is, its design is simple and reduced: It is characterized by its slim profile and the flat lamp head and base. Vincent Van Duysen – the creative mind behind Oblique
Oblique comes from the pen of Vincent Van Duysen. The Belgian architect, product and interior designer now lives and works in Antwerp. Born in 1962 in Lokeren, Belgium, he later studied architecture in Ghent. After graduating in 1985, he worked with the Italian designer Aldo Cibic in Milan and with the Belgian interior designer Jean de Meulder in Antwerp. He then settled there and in 1989 founded his company Vincent Van Duysen Architects, which today has around 30 employees.
Van Duysen realizes product designs as well as architectural projects. He was one of the first to use natural wood and linen in interior design to give rooms a homelier ambience and more coziness. The Belgian has won numerous awards, and many of his works have appeared in prestigious international publications for years. In 2022, Van Duysen was selected by AD Magazine as one of the 100 most important designers and creatives in interiors, architecture and design.

Casting
is a bollard and pedestal luminaire in a simple C or T shape that allows you to illuminate paths around the house without glare. Infra-Structure, on the other hand, is a modular lighting system of pendant luminaires. These can be extended as required, enabling individual lighting installations and giving structure to the room.
