Design

The Flos Romeo Moon S2 is a wonderful symbiosis of high-quality materials and an elegant look. A typical feature of this pendant light is the cone-shaped lampshade made of ribbed pressed glass. Since it is transparent the Romeo Moon S2 shimmers softly and thereby creates an unobtrusive highlight. A further diffuser made of satin-finished borosilicate glass is located below the lampshade. A diffuser bracket made of injection-moulded polycarbonate and a ceiling bracket made of zinc-plated cast steel round off the sophisticated manufacture of this elegant pendant light from the Italian premium manufacturer Flos. The Romeo Moon is a creation by star designer Philippe Starck.

The design of the Romeo Moon S2 was penned by Philippe Starck who created the Dining table lamps in 1996 for the manufacturer Flos.

Romeo Moon S2 pendant lights: focused, softly glare-free light

Thanks to the second internal diffuser made of satin-finished glass, the Flos Romeo Moon S2 emits its light directly downwards. Furthermore, it simultaneously has a second function: it not only protects the illuminant but also the eye as it ensures an exemplary glare control. Installed about 60 cm above the table, the Romeo Moon S2 from Flos offers a combination of focused lighting for the dining table and atmospheric ambient lighting. It is recommended to equip this light fixture with halogen light bulbs. These are known for an excellent colour rendering.

Pendant lights for a cosy illumination of dining areas

The zone light turns the area below the Flos Romeo Moon S2 into a brightly illuminated stage where the food and drinks take over the leading roles. Since the light is also emitted upwards the Romeo Moon S2 provides the kitchen or the dining room not only with ambient lighting but also with a friendly ambience. The pendant lamp from Flos is ideally suited for rooms with a ceiling height between 2.4 m and 5.5 m. Its warm-white light is ideally suited for rectangular dining tables with a width of 90 cm or more and round tables with a diameter of 120 cm or more.
