Design

The unobtrusive grace of the cylindrical metal shade combined with the curved shape of the luminaire body is a characteristic feature of the Flos Spun Light F. The design concept of this floor lamp reflects the trumpet-shaped bases of the 1970s in a stylistically confident manner. Due to the high-gloss wet-painted surfaces available in the colours white, black and mud grey this floor lamp has a timeless and elegant look. This means that the Spun Light F from the long-standing light manufacturer Flos can be combined with any interior style. This floor lamp design was penned by Sebastian Wrong in 2004 and it quickly turned into a popular classic. Thanks to its harmonious design concept and the excellent lighting effect, this floor lamp received the coveted Red Dot Award. Besides the luminaire body version made of lathe-turned metal, the Spun Light F is also available in a version with polished aluminium surfaces.

Spun Light F floor lamps: versatile lighting effect

The Flos Spun Light F uniformly emits its warm-white light upwards and downwards. Thus, it serves to supply zone lighting as well as ambient lighting. Since the brightness can be continuously adjusted by means of the foot-operated dimmer on the supply line the Spun Light F from Flos takes over the function of an atmospheric mood light when the light intensity is reduced. The floor lamp is supplied including the corresponding light bulb. A powerful 205 W halogen illuminant produces 4,200 lumens and thereby approximately achieves the light intensity of a 300 W incandescent light bulb. A frosted glass diffuser located on the inside of the floor lamp softly and uniformly diffuses the light.
