Design

The Spun Light T1 from Flos impresses with its plain as well as elegant shape. Particularly its special base that is made of a single piece of aluminium catches the eye. Its seamless, smooth surface is stylistically geared towards the trumpet-shaped bases from the 70s and gives the Flos Spun Light T1 an extravagant appearance. The table lamp seems to be made from a single casting: the light base virtually flows out of the lampshade. Thus, the Spun Light T1 from Flos quickly becomes an elegant eye-catcher that adds a fascinating detail to the interior concept. The table lamp was created by star designer Sebastian Wrong for Flos in 2004. Its outstanding design properties were honoured with the coveted Red Dot Award.

Spun Light T1 table lamps: with focused reading light and cosy mood light

The Flos Spun Light emits its lights downwards in a focused manner and also diffuses light upwards. Here, the upper aperture of the lampshade of this table light is covered with a diffuser disc made of sand-blasted glass. This makes sure that uniform and glare-free light is emitted even if you look directly onto it. The Spun Light T1 requires an E27 lamp. light11 recommends using a halogen lamp for an excellent colour rendering and warm-white light, which ensures that the table lamp from Flos creates a pleasant atmosphere that invites you to sit back and relax.

Table lamps with a dual lighting effect

The Flos Spun Light T1 is a visual enrichment for the living room, the bedroom as well as the dining room and a hallway. Furthermore, this table lamp stands out as a combined lighting solution, thanks to the softly diffused, warm-white light emitted downward and upwards. Placed on a side table in the living room, it serves as a reading light next to an armchair or a sofa and additionally makes a contribution to the ambient lighting. In its function as zone light, it may skilfully highlight a sideboard in the dining room as well as a commode in the bedroom. An integrated dimmer allows for the individual adjustment of the light intensity of this table lamp from Flos. For this reason, the Spun Light T1 can also be used as a decorative mood light.
