Design

The design of the Flos Wan Downlight LED ceiling light was inspired by the shape of a traditional Japanese cup, a "Wan". However, the major part of the ceiling light hides in the ceiling itself and reveals only the top part of the "cup". The Wan Downlight LED takes up very little space: a mounting depth of merely 9.8 cm is required and 12 cm in diameter. High quality is guaranteed by a satin-finished diffuser made of safety glass and a case made of aluminium. Furthermore, the ceiling light by the Italian light manufacturer Flos is available in four different colours.

Wan Downlight LED ceiling lights: efficient and pleasant zone lighting

The Flos Wan Downlight LED recessed ceiling light emits its zone light in an angle of 80°, which is ideal to accentuate certain objects or to illuminate work spaces. Moreover, the Wan Downlight LED impresses by its luminous efficacy and light quality. It consumes merely 9.2 watts to generate a luminous flux of 945 lumens. At the same time, it emits a warm-white light with a light temperature of 3,000 Kelvins. In order to operate the Wan Downlight LED, an additional transformer is needed. You may purchase a suitable transformer by simply clicking on accessories at the bottom of the page and adding the Flos Constant Current Power Supply to your shopping cart. The ceiling light is classified IP 44, which means that it is protected against damages from splashing water and foreign matter to as size of 1 mm.

The Flos Wan Downlight LED ceiling light fuses with the ceiling and is thereby well-suited for areas where light itself is important rather than the luminaire. A possible area of application is a hallway, where the ceiling light’s accentuating zone light suffuses sideboards, chests of drawers or coat racks in warm-white light. The Wan Downlight LED also unfolds its impressive lighting effect in the living room, illuminating a display case or a precious painting.
