Design

At the beginning there was chaos, then came the Big Bang. Being a three-dimensional lighting object, the Foscarini Big Bang Parete/Soffitto ceiling light takes up the subject of the formation of the universe. The panels of this luminaire made of methacrylate irregularly overlap and seem to reach out in all directions from the heart of the light, giving this ceiling lamp its expressive character. The extravagant light source is a creation by the designers Enrico Franzolini and Vicente Garcia Jiménez from 2006.

Vicente García Jiménez and Enrico Franzolini designed the Big Bang Parete/Soffitto Wall lights in 2006 for the manufacturer Foscarini.

With its seemingly random arrangement of panels, the Foscarini Big Bang Parete/Soffitto produces countless reflections which together form an extraordinary ambient lighting that changes depending on the perspective. At the same time, this "chaotic" construction prevents the production of glare by the illuminant. It is recommended to equip this light with a halogen lamp that is known for a brilliant colour rendering.
