The jury of the Salone del Mobile, the famous Milan Furniture Fair, prized the, Foscarini Filo Lettura as "Best Product" in the lighting sector. Indeed, this floor lamp comes up with an unusual and surprising design. While designers usually try to stow the cable as discreetly as possible, designer Andrea Anastasio, who is a trained philosopher, puts it into the centre of attention. Like a necklace, he laid the cable around the light fitting and thereby turns it into the main design element in the Filo Lettura.
In addition, he decorated the Foscarini Filo Lettura with two colourful glass beads which glow beautifully in the stray light. However, the main function of this floor lamp is to provide downward reading light. For this purpose, the lampshade of the Filo Lettura can be positioned as desired for a targeted lighting of newspapers, books or magazines. This turns reading in the evening into an unclouded pleasure.
