The soft, silky appearance of the slightly bulbous Foscarini Gem Sospensione gives the pendant light its characteristic charm. Its particularly smooth character is achieved by a special treatment of the lampshade which is made of hand-blown glass.

The Foscarini Gem Sospensione distributes its diffuse light in all directions. The hand-blown glass functions as a diffuser which ensures that the emitted light is very soft. Usually, the pendant light by Foscarini is suspended above a dining table in the dining room, as it turns the entire area into a cosy, inviting oasis of light. In addition, the Gem Sospensione functions as an atmospheric mood light by means of its harmonious light emission.
