Design

The Foscarini Tress Terra grande is a modern floor lamp with an innovative design. It is manufactured as part of an exclusive manufacturing procedure. The most striking characteristic feature of this floor lamp is its luminaire body made of lacquered, interlaced glass fibre stripes. This way, the floor uplighter looks like a linked pillar that only consists of light and air on the inside. Additionally, since this wickerwork is made by hand each Tress Terra from Foscarini is a special unique piece.

The Tress Terra grande light was designed by Marc Sadler in 2009 for Foscarini.

Tress Terra grande – dimmable ambient lighting and mood lighting

Two light sources that can be switched on and off as well as dimmed independently from each other make the Foscarini Terra grande an attractive lighting object with a functional character: while the upper halogen lamp emits the light towards the ceiling and thereby ensures uniform, indirect ambient lighting, the second light bulb in the bottom part of the Foscarini Tress Terra illuminates the irregular wickerwork of the luminaire body and therefore highlights it in a special way. The result is a fascinating contrast between light and dark.
