Twiggy – delicate silhouette meets innovative materials
With its unmistakable design, Twiggy by Marc Sadler has become a modern classic from Foscarini. Its trademark is the graceful, sweeping curved lamp rod made of fiberglass composite material. This forms an interesting contrast to the comparatively large, slightly conical shade.
Due to the innovative fiberglass structure, the lamp rod has a high elasticity and thus contributes to an easy height adjustment. To adjust the height, use four associated counterweights, which you insert into corresponding pans in the shade.
Twiggy arc lights emit their light upwards and downwards. In this way, they combine direct with indirect lighting. The same applies to the ceiling lamp, while the pendant lamps provide downward zone light for the dining table.
The elegant arc lamp by Foscarini from 2006 was awarded the iF Design Award. It is named after the petite model Twiggy, which gained worldwide fame in the 1960s.
