Design

The Fritz Hansen Caravaggio P2 is inspired by the paintings of Michelangelo Merisi da Caravaggio. Just like the renowned painter, the pendant light sets light in scene in a special manner by means of black, white or grey surfaces. The reflector of the Caravaggio P2 by Fritz Hansen has the iconic shape of a bell and the supply line is coated with fabric, which gives the pendant light a stylish contrast. Thereby, the pendant light by the Danish designer, Cecile Manz, serves as visual highlight in any interior design concept.

The Caravaggio P3 was designed by Cecilie Manz for Fritz Hansen in 2005.

Caravaggio P2 pendant lights: perfectly glare-free zone lighting

Thanks to its metal shade, the Fritz Hansen Caravaggio P2 emits its bright zone light directly downwards and thereby accentuates the area beneath. In addition, a small amount of light escapes through an opening on top of the reflector, which contributes to a pleasant base lighting. Furthermore, the pendant light by Fritz Hansen is equipped with a 3 m supply line. Thereby, the Caravaggio P2 may also be suspended from up to 4.5 m high ceilings. light11 recommends using halogen lamps as they supply warm-white light and achieve a brilliant colour rendering. This is especially beneficial for lighting a dining table.
