Night Owl table lamp – Nordic design meets glare-free light
The Night Owl by Fritz Hansen exemplifies first-class Scandinavian design. The organically shaped table lamp is composed of a wide, conical base and an asymmetrical shade. The light shines downwards through the polycarbonate diffuser in a gently glare-free manner and illuminates the area below the lamp. Thus, the Night Owl is very suitable as desk or bedside lighting. Also placed on a sideboard or shelf, the table lamp advances to a cozy island of light in the room.
The lamp with its rotating shade is available in several colors and with a base made of aluminum or wood. While the first version looks very modern, the base made of ash wood gives the table lamp a natural, warm touch.
Whichever version you choose: With its soft design language, the Night Owl by Nicholai Wiig-Hansen fits well into various environments and provides softly diffused zone light.
Nicholai Wiig-Hansen – with a lot of curiosity to timeless, Scandinavian designs
Nicholai Wiig-Hansen was interested in art and design from an early age. This is certainly also due to his parents: His mother was a talented ceramist, his father none other than the famous painter and sculptor Svend Wiig-Hansen. No wonder, then, that Nicholai Wiig-Hansen's career aspirations had long been clear: he finally founded his own design studio in Copenhagen in 1990.
Here, with great curiosity and a strong creative drive, he is constantly taking on new challenges. Whether chairs and tables, ceramics or luminaires: Wiig-Hansen designs timeless objects with functional and clear design. He only adds details when they serve functionality. In this way, his products embody Scandinavian style in its purest form. Nicholai Wiig-Hansen likes to draw inspiration for his designs from his immediate surroundings – be it from nature or art.
