The Gubi Gräshoppa floor lamp, designed by Greta Grossman, impresses by its delicate structure that definitely lives up to its name. The Gubi Gräshoppa is a purist floor lamp that looks like a graceful grasshopper. Greta Grossman (1906-1999) was well-known for her streamlined, functional style which was later to be called "California Modernism". The Gräshoppa was designed in 1947 and has ever since enjoyed great popularity. The appealing design of the Gubi Gräshoppa floor lamp is based on an extraordinarily simple concept. A tubular steel tripod forms the base. Here, the front foot that also guides the power stretches out to the parabolic shade made of aluminium. This design with the base slightly tilted backwards gives the Gubi Gräshoppa floor lamp its distinguished design that visually enriches every room.
