Design

The Gubi Gräshoppa table lamp is a well-designed variation of the iconic floor lamp designed in 1947 and awarded by the Chicago Athenaeum with the Good Design Award. The table lamp is an elegant, deliberately asymmetrical creation by the Swedish-American designer Greta Grossmann, and due to its characteristically cone-shaped lampshade, an icon of the 1950s’ lighting design. The Gubi Gräshoppa table lamp is manufactured from high-quality steel (stem and base) and aluminium (lamp head). The scratch-resistant, powder-coated lampshade is available in a variety of stylish colours, such as antique pink.

Gräshoppa table lamp – flexible zone light

In its original position, the Gubi Gräshoppa table lamp supplies directly downwards-reflected zone light. However, as the lampshade rotates, you can precisely direct the light where needed. Please note that the scope of supply does not include illuminants. light11 recommends equipping the Gubi Gräshoppa table lamp with a halogen lamp, as it supplies warm white light with a brilliant colour rendering. Alternatively, you can also use an LED retrofit lamp or any other lamp of your choice with an E14 base.
