Design

In the case of this pendant light, the saying "Nomen est omen" fits perfectly: by looking at the Ingo Maurer Birdie's Nest LED, you will certainly be reminded of a bird’s nest in a tree swarmed with little birds. The world-class German designer Ingo Maurer creates this suggestive image as follows: first, a dense tangle of wires comes out of the ceiling canopy, resembling a nest made of grass. Then, the wires move apart in different directions like the branches of a tree. The key element however are the LED lamps with wings of genuine goose feathers, as they symbolise the birds flying around the nest and thereby contribute significantly to the fascinating effect of this pendant light. The Birdie's Nest LED is also available as halogen version in our shop.

The Birdie's Nest LED was designed by Ingo Maurer for Ingo Maurer in 2005.

Birdie's Nest LED – bendable lamp arms

Each of the ten LED lamps emits soft, diffuse light in every direction. In this way, the Ingo Maurer Birdie's Nest LED provides for harmonious ambient lighting with a uniform spread. What is special is that you can bend the lamp arms of the Birdie's Nest LED pendant light. In this way, you change its appearance as well as the lighting effect. Furthermore, the special LED lamps by Ingo Maurer impress with their energy-efficiency, warm-white light and a good colour rendering. The required transformer is already included in the scope of delivery.
