Design

The Ingo Maurer Wo-Tum-Bu floor lamp is part of The MaMo Nouchies® light series and impresses by its sophisticated shape and that adds a touch of Asian flair to the environment. When creating this piece, the designers Ingo Maurer and Dagmar Mombach were inspired by the Japanese artist Isamu Noguchi. The body of the Ingo Maurer Wo-Tum-Bu is produced as part of a traditional Japanese manufacturing process. In a purely manual production process, up to eight paper sheet layers are folded and pulled in to ultimately achieve the final shape. Thus, every Ingo Maurer Wo-Tum-Bu floor lamp becomes a really unique piece. The base is made from massive concete, whose colour and structure can vary depending on the batch.

Wo-Tum-Bu 1 – cosy ambient light

The Ingo Maurer Wo-Tum-Bu supplies warm, soft ambient lighting. It is uniformly diffused in all directions so that a harmonious illumination is ensured. Additional operational comfort is offered by the integrated dimmer. It allows the brightness to be individually adjusted and therefore a personal lighting ambience to be created. The scope of supply includes a halogen lamp. This type of lamps is known for a warm-white light and a brilliant colour rendering. This means that any object illuminated will shine in a natural, authentic light.
