Design

The trapezoidal body of the IP44.de Gap Q stands out for its refined workmanship and the two-sided light emission directed upwards and downwards. Its rationally designed, powder-coated aluminium body is extremely robust and is able to easily withstand harsh weather conditions. Moreover, the wall light from IP44.de blends with almost every environment. At the tip the housing of the Gap Q is slightly narrower which breaks up the strict rationality of the design. The light-emission apertures at the top and the bottom are covered with opal safety glass.

Klaus Nolting designed the Gap Q Wall lights in 2015 for the manufacturer IP44.de.

The gap that makes the difference

The gap around the light opening allows rain water to simply run through the luminaire.

Gap Q wall lights with IvyLight technology

Since the light-emission apertures of the IP44.de Gap Q are bevelled towards the wall there is a distinctive light cone at the top and the bottom that correspondingly accentuates the facade. Furthermore, the wall lamp from IP44.de achieves a light intensity of 260 lumens, while it only requires a power input of 12&nbps;watts. This means that it only requires a fifth of the power required by a 60 W incandescent lamp to generate a similar light intensity. But this is not all: the LED lamps of the Gap Q are extremely durable thanks to the IvyLight technology of IP44.de. This means that they generally have a service life of up to 50,000 hours. This corresponds to a period of 45 years based on a daily operating time of three hours.

Wall lights for the entire outdoor area

The IP44.de Gap Q is designed in accordance with protection type IP65. This means that it is completely dust-proof and protected from splashing water from all directions. Consequently, it is ideally suited for use in outdoor areas. It does not even has to be hidden below a canopy. Be it in the entrance area, the garden, the terrace or the balcony, the wall light from IP44.de is able to skilfully accentuate the façade. Moreover, it provides sufficient guidance in the dark.
