Design

The IP44.de Gap Y impresses by its plain and neutral design which dedicated itself to the task of brightly illuminating a house façade. The powder-coated aluminium body of the wall light from the German premium manufacturer IP44.de is approx. 23 cm high and is designed with a flat angle which means that the base is a little wider that the front. At the top and the bottom there are two wedge-shaped light-emission apertures that are slightly bevelled in order to directly illuminate the wall.

The IP44.de Gap Y is a piece by Klaus Nolting from 2015.

Bevelled

The upper light opening, as well, is bevelled to illuminate the lower part of the wall.

Downwards-directed light

The wedge-shaped diffuser focuses the light downwards.

Gap Y wall lights: long service life thanks to IvyLight technology

The IP44.de Gap Y directs a bright light cone upwards and another one downwards. Here, the house façade is skilfully highlighted since the light-emission aperture is slightly tilted towards the wall. This way, the light emitted by the wall lamp is optimally used. Moreover, the light source impresses by extremely efficient and durable LED lamps. These only require 12 watts to generate a luminous flux of 750 lumens. A further advantage: thanks to the IvyLight technology, the heat management of the LEDs is optimised and a service life of up to 50,000 hours can be achieved. Based on a daily operating time of three hours, this corresponds to a service life of 45 years. The light intensity of the Gap Y from IP44.de may be adjusted to suit your requirements by means of different trailing-edge dimmers. Upon request, a list of suitable dimmers can be obtained from the manufacturer IP44.de.
