Kartell Battery – extraordinary designer lamp for impressive mood lighting
Battery is an exemplary lamp specimen from the house of Kartell. Because like so many products of the Italian manufacturer, it gives the impression that it is made of glass. In fact, however, the LED lamp is made of high-quality, robust plastic (polymethyl methacrylate) from shade to base. In the process, the Italian manufacturer relies on innovative industrial manufacturing techniques with low emission levels. Ferruccio Laviani – responsible for many successful products of Kartell
Ferruccio Laviani was born in 1960 in Cremona, Italy. He studied architecture and design at the Milan Polytechnic, learning from Achille Castiglioni and Marco Zanuso, among others. He worked with Michele De Lucchi during his studies and later became his partner. In 1991 Ferruccio Laviani opened his own studio in Milan and became art director at Kartell. The Italian calls the manufacturer his second home and has significantly influenced the development of the brand to this day.
In addition to the Battery, Laviani has also designed Bourgie for Kartell. The decorative Kartell lamp is characterized by its distinctive baroque-style base and pleated-structure lampshade. Since it gives light downwards and upwards, the table lamp can be used in many ways. Another successful design by Ferruccio Laviani is FL/Y. The formally reduced pendant lamp is available in many colorful variants, according to the pop art style. With it you set your dining table stylishly in scene. The table lamp Cindy also comes from the pen of Ferruccio Laviani. The lamp in retro look inspires with its expressive design, the noble high-gloss surface and the up- and downlight.
In which different versions are the Kartell Battery lamps available?
The Battery family of Kartell includes two battery lamps and a table lamp with plug. You get the battery lights in two different sizes, the normal Battery is 26 cm high, the Big Battery measures 37.3 cm in height. The table lamp is the same size.
All Battery lamps are available in many different colors for you to choose from. While the Battery LED and the Battery table lamp have a switch, you can dim the Big Battery gradually.
