Enchanting light reflections: Kartell Bloom
The
Bloom collection lives up to its name and brings a touch of spring, freshness and lightness into your home. Especially versions like mint, lavender or pink /black make for a lively and brisk feel-good climate.
Like the whole product family, the
Kartell Bloom wall fascinates with its design of numerous blooms with a double blossom feature set on stems, sparkling like a bouquet of crystal and providing charming interplay of light and shadows in various hues on the wall or ceiling. The work of Ferruccio Laviani gives its brightness to all directions and therefore is ideal as general lighting for living room, bedroom and hallway. Two tasteful
pendant lights top off this range of the Italian manufacturer.
As the round version, the
Kartell Bloom pendant light disperses a lighting atmosphere reminiscent of a colourful composition of springtime flowers – ideal for dining room or kitchen. There, this Kartell luminaire not just impressively accentuates a table, but also gives off extensive room lighting. The Bloom pendant hides its lamps within its centre. Exiting light is refracted through the many blossoms of the
Kartell Bloom and thus is intensified from within to create an amazing display of illumination. So a cosy lighting atmosphere evolves that adds another facet to dining places. The light sources are arranged in a way that ensures even light distribution.
An embodiment of extravaganza is represented by the
Kartell Bloom pendant light. Its lampshade appears like a shapely cascade of blossoms and makes for the glamour effect of this hanging lamp. This floral downfall dangling over the table emphasizes dining rooms and becomes the focus of attention even when it is switched off.
Industrially manufactured Kartell Bloom fixtures are characterized by a devotion to detail, appearing so complex that they look like elaborately handmade unique specimen. The blossoms are made of polymer, they are attached on a frame made out of polycarbonate.
Additional information on the designer: Designer Pietro Ferruccio Laviani, who has conceived the Kartell Bloom pendant light
Kartell, has studied architecture and design. He has been working for Kartell since 1991, but devised his first lights for other companies. His first designer lamp for Kartell was the result of his search for suitable exhibition lighting. Thereupon he began to design path breaking luminaires made of modern plastics.
